"Tall Pines”

Tall Pine tress photographed in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area in New Jersey while attending a platinum printing workshop given by master printer Robert Borsuk at the Peter’s Valley School of Craft. Platinum printing is one of the oldest printing processes dating back to the mid 1800’s and is now considered an alternative photographic process.

Photographed using a Sinar 4X5 camera with a 210mm Schneider lens.

"Forlorn Places"

Abandoned structures in the Ohio countryside that I photographed in 2000 using Polaroid Polapan 35mm instant black & white transparency film. The combination of the film and the overcast weather gave the images their moody and ethereal qualities. The film was exposed and then processed in minutes using the Polaroid AutoProcessor.

Photographed using a Nikon F3 and edited in Photoshop.
